NOTE:
This recall applies only to the above vehicles built through June 22 1999 (MDH 062212).

IMPORTANT:
Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer new vehicle inventory. Federal law requires you stop sale and complete this recall service these
vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also consider this requirement to apply to used vehicle inventory and should perform this recall on
vehicles in for service as determined by using the DIAL VIP System.
Subject
The instrument panel brake warning lamp circuit on about 3,100 of the above vehicles does not contain the ?required ground wire to illuminate the brake
warning lamp in the event of a brake system hydraulic failure. Therefore, the brake system on these vehicles does not comply with Fe4eral Motor
Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 105 - hydraulic brake systems.
Repair
A wiring jumper must be added to the brake warning lamp switch at the combination valve to complete the ground circuit for the brake warning lamp.

Service Procedure
1. Lift vehicle on an appropriate hoist.
CAUTION:
Be sure to follow the specific service manual procedure for hoisting a Prowler to avoid body damage.
