Prowler V6-3.5L VIN G (1999)
CAUTION: When removing the power steering return hose from the power steering fluid reservoir do not use excessive force. The fitting for the
power steering fluid return hose could be broken off the reservoir.
6. Remove hose clamp from power steering fluid return hose. Remove power steering fluid return hose from power steering fluid reservoir.
7. Raise vehicle.
8. Remove power steering fluid return hose from vehicle. Pressure hose is removed from the underside of the vehicle.
Installation
1. From the underside of the vehicle, correctly route power steering fluid return hose up to the power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Using a lint free towel, wipe clean the open power steering hose end and steering gear port.
3. Install a NEW O-ring seal on end of power steering fluid return hose. Lubricate the O-ring seal using fresh clean power steering fluid.
4. Correctly route the power steering return hose to the return hose fitting on steering gear. Install power steering pressure hose on steering gear.
Install the power steering pressure hose tube nut only hand tight.
NOTE: When installing routing clips they must be installed at the flat spots formed into the tubing on the power steering pressure and return hose.
5. Install 2 NEW routing clips used to hold the power steering fluid pressure and return hose together.
6. Install the third routing clip holding the power steering fluid pressure and return hose together.
