3. Tighten the tire pressure transmitter mounting nut to a torque of 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.). When torquing the tire pressure transmitter, hold the
transmitter so it does not rotate. If the transmitter rotates so the top edge is not level with the wheel, damage to the transmitter will occur when
mounting the tire. If the top edge of the transmitter is not level with the wheel it can be rotated into position by lightly tapping it with your hand.
CAUTION: Never attempt to mount the extended mobility tire used on this vehicle without applying mounting compound on the wheel. Failure to
apply mounting compound will result in damage to the wheel and the bead of the tire.
4. Thoroughly coat all the surfaces of the wheel's upper and lower flange with a heavy application of tire mounting compound.
CAUTION: Never attempt to mount the extended mobility tire used on this vehicle without first applying mounting compound on the tire. Failure
to apply the mounting compound will result in damage to the wheel and the bead of the tire.
5. Thoroughly coat all surfaces of upper and lower bead and bead flange on the tire with a heavy application of tire mounting compound.
NOTE: When mounting the wheel on the tire changer, the wheel must be mounted so that no damage will be done to the wheel when mounting the
tire.
6. Mount the wheel on the tire changer per the tire changer manufacturers instructions.
