7. The wheel must be rotated on the tire changer so that the tire pressure sensor/transmitter is located in a position that is at approximately 7 O'clock to
the mounting arm on the tire changing equipment being used.
8. Position the tire on the wheel. Make sure that the rotational arrows on the sidewall of the tire are showing the correct tire rotation for the side of the
vehicle the tire will be installed on.
9. With the tire pressure transmitter in the correct 7 O'clock position, place the bead head on the tire changer against the top flange of the wheel. Use
the procedure provided by the tire changer manufacturer to unsure the bead head is correctly positioned against the flange of the wheel. Failure to
do this will result in damage to the wheel when mounting the tire.
CAUTION: The positioning of the tire pressure transmitter and the tire in relation to each other is very important when mounting the bottom bead
of the tire. This ensures that the last section of the tires bottom bead to be mounted to the rim will be at the tire pressure transmitter. This allows the
bottom bead of the tire to be stretched over the upper flange of the wheel and drop past the pressure transmitter without causing damage to the
transmitter.
NOTE: Do not let the tire slip on the wheel when starting to mount the bottom bead.
10. By hand, rotate the tire into the wheel as far as possible. The tire must be initially installed on the wheel so the bottom bead of the tire is positioned
just forward of the tire pressure transmitter. Rotate the table on the tire changer, mounting the bottom bead of the tire onto the wheel.
