Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

Proportional Purge Solenoid Valve Location

The Proportional Purge Solenoid valve is located on a bracket attached to the right side engine compartment near the dash panel. The top of the
solenoid has the word TOP on it. The solenoid will not operate unless it is installed correctly.

REMOVAL

1. Slide valve off of bracket.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the valve.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect tile vacuum hoses to the valve.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the valve.
3. Slide valve onto bracket.
