Program the Tire Pressure Transmitter
Programming a Tire Pressure Transmitter must be accomplished using a DRB Ill scan tool. Using the DRB Ill scan tool select "Chassis", then "Low Tire
Pressure Warning", then "Miscellaneous", and then "Program LTPW Transmitter".
Turn ignition on.
Select a position (left front, right front, right rear, left rear)
Place a magnet (special tool 8192) next to the tire pressure transmitter and wait six seconds.
To verify that the LTPW module has been programmed, use the DRB III scan tool to look at the LTPW module's memory for the transmitter ID and the
appropriate tire pressure threshold values. If the LTPW module does not have the transmitter programmed properly the "Low Tire" Lamp will be on
steady.
An inspection of electrical and mechanical components should be included during the regular maintenance service schedule.
