Alignment Angles

FRONT AND REAR CURB HEIGHT 

Curb height is the height that the vehicle should be at when the vehicle is stationary and at the correct factory weight. The measurement is to be
taken from the surface that the vehicle's tires are on up to the center of the pivot bolts for the front and rear lower control arms. The vehicle must
have a full tank of filer and all fluids filled to their correct levels. This measurement will determine if something in the vehicle's suspension system
is causing the vehicle to sit statically high or low. All alignment adjustments done on this vehicle, MUST be made with the vehicle set to its correct
curb height specification.

CAMBER 

Camber is the number of degrees the top of the wheel is tilted either inward or outward. An excessive negative camber angle will cause tread wear
at the inside of the tire. An excessive positive camber angle will cause tread wear at the outside of the tire.

CASTER 

Caster is the number of degrees of forward or rearward tilt of the steering knuckles. Forward tilt provides a negative caster angle. Rearward tilt
provides a positive caster angle.

WHEEL TOE POSITION 

Wheel toe position is the difference between the leading inside edges and trailing inside edges of the tires. Incorrect wheel toe position is the most
common cause of unstable steering and uneven tire wear. The wheel toe position is the final front and rear wheel alignment adjustment.

STEERING AXIS INCLINATION ANGLE 

Steering axis inclination angle is measured in degrees and is the angle that the knuckles are tilted. The inclination angle has a fixed relationship
with the camber angle and will not change except when a spindle or ball stud is damaged or bent. The angle is not adjustable and the damaged
component(s) must be replaced to correct misalignment.
