Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair
Complete Module
The transmission oil cooling module consist of the oil cooler, cooling fan, and support bracket.
Removal
1. Disconnect cooling fan motor electrical connector.
2. Remove transmission oil cooler lines from cooler.
NOTE: To remove cooler lines from transmission, the use of Special Tool 8193 is required.

3. Remove cooling module attaching nuts to frame and remove module.
Installation
1. Install cooling module to frame and tighten nuts to 22.5 Nm (200 inch lbs.).
2. Attach transmission cooler lines to cooler and tighten fittings to 25 Nm (220 inch lbs.).
CAUTION: If cooler lines were removed from transmission, make sure a "snap" is heard upon installation and then push/pull on the lines to
make sure lines are secured.
3. Connect cooling fan motor electrical connector.
4. Check and adjust transmission fluid as necessary.
Transmission Oil Cooler Fan
The cooling fan, motor, and shroud is serviced as an assembly.
Removal
1. Remove transmission oil cooling module.
2. Remove fasteners attaching fan assembly to support bracket.
3. Remove fan assembly.
Installation
1. Attach fan assembly to support bracket and tighten fasteners to 6.2 Nm (55 inch lbs.).
2. Install transmission oil cooling module.
