Pick-Up Coil: Service and Repair

Fig 1  Electronic Ignition Distributor W/2.6L

PICK UP ASSEMBLY, REPLACE

1. Remove distributor.
2. Remove distributor rotor.
3. Remove governor assembly retaining screw, Fig. 1 and governor assembly.

NOTE:  Governor springs are not interchangeable and must be installed in their original positions. Note position of each spring during
disassembly for reference during assembly.

4. Remove wire retaining clamp from side of distributor.
5. Remove pick up coil and ECU igniter retaining screws, then remove pick up coil and ECU igniter as an assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
