SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Rattling noise in steering wheel when hitting a sharp bump or during rough road operation.
DIAGNOSIS
Road test the vehicle over a rough road and listen for a rattling noise in the upper portion of the steering column. If a rattle is detected, it could be caused
by the steering column dampener contacting the inside of the steering column.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
This procedure is to install an insulator around the dampener weight to correct the noise. The windshield wiper motor seal is used as the insulator as
follows:

Remove steering wheel and dampener weight assembly.
