REMOVAL
1. Remove master cylinder from vehicle. Refer to MASTER CYLINDER REPLACEMENT.
2. Thoroughly clean reservoir and housing.
3. Remove reservoir caps, then drain the brake fluid.
4. Clamp housing in a vise.
5. Grasp reservoir by hand, and separate it from the housing by rocking it from side to side. Do not pry reservoir from the housing.
6. Remove grommets from housing.
INSTALLATION
1. Install grommets in housing.
2. Apply clean brake fluid to reservoir mounting surface.
3. Position reservoir on housing so wording on reservoir reads from left to right from the front of the housing.
4. Press reservoir into housing while rocking it from side to side. Reservoir is properly seated when bottom of reservoir touches the grommet.
5. Refer to Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Service and Repair to bleed the hydraulic system.
