Power Window Switch: Testing and Inspection
Two Door Model
1. Test the master switch as follows:
a. Remove the switch from its mounting. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Leave the wiring harness connected to the switch and connect
a test light between the TN wire and BK wire.

If the test light does not come on or is dim, check the circuit breaker and the wiring to the switch.

If the test light comes on, go to step 1b.
b. Move the master switch through all window positions and check for power available at the proper wire terminals:
LB left up
WT left down
BR right up
VT right down

If the power output from the master switch is incorrect, the master switch is defective.
Four Door Model
1. Test the left master switch as follows:
a. Remove the switch from its mounting. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Leave the wiring harness connected to the switch and connect
a test light between the TN wire and BK wire.

If the test light does not come on or is dim, check the circuit breaker and the wiring to the left door switch.

If the test light comes on, go to step 1b.
b. Move the lockout switch (if applicable) to the OFF position. Move the master switch through all window positions and check for power available
at the proper wire terminals:
Front Doors
LB left up
WT left down
BR right up
VT right down
Rear Doors
DB left up
RD* left down
GY right up
DG right down
