Grinding noise in clutch when clutch pedal is depressed full travel.

DIAGNOSIS

1.

Apply parking brake.

2.

Place transaxle in neutral.

3.

Start engine and run at curb idle.

4.

Fully depress clutch pedal all the way to the floor and listen for the grinding noise. Then, partially release the pedal (1-1/2-2") and listen for the
noise. If the noise disappears when the pedal is raised slightly, then the problem may be a result of excessive clutch pedal travel.
