Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair

The proportioning valves should never be disassembled. 

1. Remove fresh air intake ducts and air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove pressure and return hose from hydraulic unit.
3. Remove brake tube and fitting from proportioning valve.
4. Remove proportioning valve from hydraulic assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following: 

a. Torque proportioning valve bolts to 30 ft. lbs.
b. Torque brake tube to 11 ft. lbs.
c. Bleed brake system.
