Timing Belt: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle
2. Remove right hand inner splash shield.
3. Loosen crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley retaining bolts.
4. Remove accessory drive belts, then crankshaft and water pump pulleys.

5. Remove nuts securing timing belt cover to cylinder head and cylinder block, then timing belt cover halves, Fig. 13. 
6. Support engine with a suitable jack, then remove right hand engine mount bolt and raise engine slightly.
7. Loosen timing belt tensioner, then remove timing belt.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
