Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
Fuel Pressure Regulator
1.
Fuel system pressure must be released prior to service. See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair
2.
Disconnect negative battery terminal, and remove air cleaner assembly.
3.
Remove 3 attaching screws from pressure regulator. Lift pressure regulator off of throttle body.
4.
Remove gasket and O-ring from fuel pressure regulator.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install new O-ring and gasket and press fuel pressure regulator into place in throttle body. Install 3 mounting screws and torque to 5 Nm (40
lb-in).
2.
Reconnect negative battery terminal and perform fuel system pressure test to check for leaks. See: Fuel Pressure/Testing and Inspection/Fuel
