Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect six cavity connector from stop lamp switch pigtail.
2. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity at switch side of connector.
3. With brake pedal released, there should be continuity between the dark blue/red and yellow/red wires, and between white/pink and white wires.

There should be no continuity between pink and white wires.

4. With brake pedal depressed, there should be continuity between pink and white wires. There should be no continuity between the dark blue/red

and yellow/red wires, or between white/pink and white wires.

5. If the above results are not obtained the stop lamp switch is defective or out of adjustment.
