SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Some subject model vehicles may have ash receiver housings which are loose at the top or do not fit properly to the trim panel. To correct this condition
refer to the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove ash receiver.

2.

Remove ash receiver housing and inspect to insure that the two

bottom attaching bosses are not fatigued or broken. (It is not necessary to remove the trim panel.)

Install ash receiver housing and secure with attaching screws listed above (Figure 1). The attaching screws are intended to wedge behind the
quarter trim panel to provide additional strength to the assembly.

4.

Install ash receiver.
