Perform either 6a. or 6b. depending on model:

6a. For Vans: Measure and scribe a mark 3/16" (5 mm) above the reference mark (see Illustration).

6b. For Wagons: Measure and scribe a mark 5/16" (8 mm) above the reference mark (see Illustration).

Rotate the adjuster lever assembly to the second marked position.

NOTE:

IF THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT TRAVEL AVAILABLE IN THE SLOT TO ADJUST TO THIS POSITION, THEN SET THE
ADJUSTMENT AT THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE POSITION IN THE SLOT.

Tighten fasteners "A" and "B" to 17 + 2.8 N-m (150 + 25 inch pounds) to secure lever assembly. Tighten fastener "A" riding in the slot first. This
will secure the lever assembly in the proper position and minimize position change due to tightening of fasteners.
