PARTS REQUIRED
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves the proper replacement procedure for the torque shaft bearings.
1.
Remove the rear drive line module from the vehicle, as outlined in the appropriate service manual.
2.
Remove both the front and rear bearings and seals.
3.
Using aluminum oxide sand paper # 150 or # 180, remove any corrosion from the tube bearing bore and from the shaft bearing journal. The
replacement bearing must be a slip fit on both the torque shaft journal and tube bore.
4.
Install the replacement bearing and seal assembly, PN 4637106, in the overrunning clutch housing. Secure the bearing to the overrunning clutch
housing with the snap ring, PN 4486166.
