SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
When rolling the front door window(s) up, the glass contacts the outside edge of the glass run weatherstrip and pushes the weatherstrip up into the cavity
of the door along the A-pillar. The condition is most likely to occur at high vehicle road speeds. If the glass is rolled up tight when this condition occurs,
permanent damage to the glass run weatherstrip will result.
DIAGNOSIS:
1.
Inspect the glass run(s) along the A-pillar(s) of the suspect door(s). If the outer edge of the glass run is rolled off the sheetmetal mounting flange,
remove the door trim panel and replace the glass run weatherstrip using the procedure outlined on Page 23-27 of the 1993 Front Wheel Drive/All
Wheel Drive Van/Wagon Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-3105).
2.
Slowly roll the glass towards its full up position. If the glass starts to push the glass run weatherstrip into the cavity of the door, do not roll the
glass up any farther. Adjust the up-stop (refer to Figure A) so it prevents the glass pushing the glass run weatherstrip into the cavity of the door.
