Park Brake Actuator Plate.
13. Lift out leading brake shoe and disconnect park brake actuator plate from shoe.
Installation
The content of this article reflects changes called for in TSB 26-04-96.
1. Using fine emery cloth or other suitable abrasive, clean rust and dirt from shoe contact surfaces on backing plate.
2. Lubricate backing plate shoe contact pads with Mopar Brake Lubricant (P/N 4796269).
Park Brake Actuator Plate.
3. Install park brake actuator plate onto leading brake shoe.
4. Attach leading brake shoe to backing plate with hold-down pin and spring clip.
Park Brake Actuating Strut.
5. Install park brake actuating strut to leading brake shoe and to park brake actuating lever.
6. Install automatic adjuster assembly onto leading shoe. Ensure automatic adjuster and park brake actuating strut are in proper contact with actuator
plate.
7. Install park brake actuating lever onto trailing shoe.
8. Attach trailing shoe to backing plate with hold-down pin and spring clip.
