Remove the four (4) push clips which secure the left rear fender well splash shield to the body and then remove the splash shield (Figure 1).

Locate the notched out (half moon shape) edge of the steel flange at the top of the filler tube. This notched out area is located directly inboard of
the lower filler tube mounting screw (Figure 2).
