SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE
The Driver Information Center System Check Table and Circuit Operation contain inaccurate information. The Driver Information Center lights all
segments at once, not sequentially, upon power-up. Please make the following corrections to your copies of the 1987, 1988 and 1989 Pontiac 6000
Chassis Service Manuals.

On page 8A-86-3, in the System Check Table, under the Normal Response column, the statement "Each item in the DIC display lights up in
half-second steps" should be replaced with "All segments in the DIC light up".
2.
On page 8A-86-7, in the Circuit Operation, under DIC Display Test Sequence, the phrases "in half-second steps until all are lighted" and "When
all the items are lighted", should be deleted.
