5.  Release valve spring.

Inspect
^  Make sure valve locks are seated.
^  With tool J23994, apply vacuum to the valve cap to make sure no air leaks past the seal.

5.  Spark plug.

Tighten
^  To 15 Nm (11 ft. lb.)

6.  Push rod.
7.  Rocker arm.

Adjust
^  Valve lash.

8.  Valve cover. 

Tighten
^

Bolts to 6-8 Nm (4-6 ft. lb.).
