When servicing a HYDRA-MATIC 4T60 or 4T60-E transaxle, you may notice the 3rd clutch (fiber) plate assemblies have different markings. Listed
below are all of the variations of identifiers for the 3rd clutch (fiber) plate assemblies used in all 1986 to the present model transaxles.
1986, 1987 and 1988 models (single sided plates):

Four dark blue or black stripes
-
Four yellow stripes
1989
to present models:
-
No stripes with or without the "V" notch
-
Four dark blue or black stripes and the "V" notch
-
Four white stripes and the "V" notch
-
Four yellow stripes with or without the "V" notch
-
Four very faded yellow stripes with or without the "V" notch
