A 1982-1984 THM 125C transaxle may exhibit a harsh Park/Neutral to Drive engagement.. Refer to Figure 1 for transaxle identification information.

FIGURE 2 - FORWARD CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

At the start of production (SOP) 1985, all THM 125C transaxles were built with a new forward clutch assembly. This change eliminated the check ball in
the forward clutch housing (Figure 2, Item 624--arrow indicates check ball location) and provided bleed orifices in the forward clutch piston assembly
(Figure 2, Item 629).
