Panel Replacement

Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement

Tools Required

J 38778  Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Open the door.
2. Remove the power window switch assembly. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement - Left Side   (See: Sensors and

Switches/Sensors and Switches - Windows and Glass/Power Window Switch/Service and Repair/Power Window Switch Replacement - Left Front
) or Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement - Right Side   (See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches - Windows and Glass/Power
Window Switch/Service and Repair/Power Window Switch Replacement - Right Front).

3. Remove the screws from the front door trim panel

4. Remove the front door trim panel using the J 38778  .
5. Remove the power mirror switch. Refer to Power Mirror Switch Replacement   (See: Mirrors/Power Mirror Switch/Service and Repair) if

equipped.

6. Reposition the electrical harness connectors.
7. Remove the front door trim panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Important:  Before installing the front door trim panel to the front door inner panel, the old trim panel retainers MUST be discarded and
