Cooling Fan Motor Replacement - Electric
Removal Procedure
Caution: An electric fan under the hood can start-up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away
from any underhood electric fan.
Caution: To help avoid personal injury or damage to the vehicle, a bent, cracked, or damaged fan blade or housing should always be replaced.
Important: If abnormal noise or vibration is felt from the engine compartment, inspect and clean any foreign material from the cooling fan blades.
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the cooling fans with the cooling fan shroud.
3. Remove the cooling fan.
4. Remove the cooling fan motor electrical connector.
5. Remove the cooling fan motor screws.
6. Remove the cooling fan motor.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the cooling fan motor.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the cooling fan motor screws.

Tighten the screws to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
3. Install the cooling fan motor electrical connector.
4. Install the cooling fan. .
5. Install the cooling fans with the cooling fan shroud.
