Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear
1. Disconnect rear wheel speed sensor connector, then remove lower strut bolt and nut.
2. Clean any dirt or debris from sensor housing and sensor interface surfaces, then remove Torx mounting screws.
3. Remove sensor from vehicle.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate new sensor O-ring prior to installation.
b. Torque sensor mounting screws to 25 inch lbs. in a spiral pattern.
c. Torque lower strut bolt and nut to 140 ft. lbs.
