Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Description and Operation
This engine uses two cooling fans, the lefthand fan has two speeds and the righthand fan one speed. When engine coolant temperature is reaches 212°
F or when A/C is requested then the low speed cooling fan operates. The high speed fan begins operation at coolant temperatures in excess of 226° F
or when A/C refrigerant pressure is above 190 psi. Power for the fan motors is supplied by the 40 amp Maxifuse at terminal 87 on cooling fan relays.
The relays are energized when current flows to ground through the PCM.
