Heater Core: Service and Repair
Heater Core Removal

Tool Required: J 37097 Mubea Hose Clamp Tool

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain cooling system.
3. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core. Using tool j 37097
4. Remove right sound insulator.
5. Remove center and lower instrument panel trim plates.
6. Programmer, proceed as follows:

a. Instrument panel compartment (glove box) 
b. Remove screw securing shield and shield.
c. remove temperature valve link rod.
d. Disconnect wiring and hoses from programmer.
e. Remove programmer attaching bolt, then the programmer.

7. Remove heater core cover, then the splash cover for access to heater hoses.
8. Remove heater core cover screws and cover
9. heater core screws then the heater core.
