Air Door Actuator / Motor: Service and Repair
Air Distributor Assembly
WARNING: The following procedures must be followed in the order listed to temporarily disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR)
system and prevent false diagnostic trouble codes from setting. Failure to follow this procedure could result In possible air bag deployment,
personal Injury, or otherwise unneeded SIR system repairs.
Air Distributor Assembly
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

Disable SIR system, Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts. See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems
WARNING: When servicing an Instrument Panel (I/P) assembly containing a live inflator module, or when leaving an I/P assembly containing a live
Inflator module unattended on a bench or other surface, always face the air bag deployment opening up, away from the surface. This is necessary so that
a free space is provided to allow the air bag to expand In the unlikely event of accidental deployment. Failure to follow procedures could result in
personal injury.
1. Instrument Panel (I/P) assembly.
2. Vacuum source input from right side of air distributor assembly.
3. Screws from floor air outlet, collapse connector (floor air outlet to rear floor air duct) and remove floor air outlet from vehicle (if equipped).
4. Screws and nut attaching air distributor assembly to front of dash, and air distributor assembly from vehicle.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Screws and nut attaching air distributor assembly to front of dash. after positioning air distributor assembly into vehicle.

Tighten nut to 1.5 Nm (13 lb. in.).

Tighten screws to 1.5 Nm (13 lb. in.).
2. Floor air outlet and attaching screws after collapsing connector and positioning into vehicle.

Tighten screws to 1.5 Nm (13 lb. in.).
3. Vacuum source input at right side of air distributor assembly.
