Vehicle Speed Sensor: Description and Operation
The Vehicle Speed Sensor, located on the transmission housing near the right side drive axle, provides an alternating signal that the PCM uses to
calculate vehicle speed. The PCM uses vehicle speed information to operate the cruise control system, torque converter clutch, idle speed, and canister
purge control solenoid.
