Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.

2. Remove the push pin retainers (2) that secure the rear bumper fascia to the rear wheelhouse extensions. 

3. Remove the fastener (5) securing the rear bumper fascia at the wheelhouse opening.
4. Disconnect the license lamp electrical connector (2).
5. Open the rear compartment lid.
6. Remove the rear compartment sill trim.
7. Fold back the rear compartment side trim panels. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Trunk/Liftgate.
8. Remove the fasteners (4) securing the rear bumper fascia (3) to the quarter panels.
9. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the rear bumper fascia (3) to the rear end panel.

10. Remove the rear bumper fascia (3) from the vehicle.
11. Remove the energy absorber from the fascia.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the energy absorber to the fascia.
