Bonneville V8-4.6L VIN Y (2004)
1. If required, install a new oil pan seal using the following procedure:
1.1.
Clean any residual oil from the seal groove.
1.2.
Work the seal into the pan groove in both directions around the pan.
2. Position the oil pan to the crankcase.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the oil pan retaining bolts.

Tighten the oil pan bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) in the sequence shown.
Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the engine oil level sensor (1) into the oil pan.

Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
