2. Install the fasteners into the engine and transmission.

Tighten the brace bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the heat shield.
4. Install the heat shield fasteners.
^
Tighten the heat shield nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the right front tire.

Inspection Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.
Important: Before replacing any transmission/transaxle mount due to suspected fluid loss, verify that the source of the fluid is the
transmission/transaxle mount, not the engine, transmission/transaxle or accessories.
Notice: Refer to Raising/Supporting Oil Pan Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Raise the transmission/transaxle in order to create a slight tension in the transmission mount.
3. Observe the transmission/transaxle mount while raising the transmission/transaxle. Replace the transmission/transaxle mount if the
transmission/transaxle mount exhibits any of the following conditions:

The hard rubber surface is covered with heat check cracks.
^
The rubber is separated from the metal plate of the transmission/transaxle mount.
^
The rubber is split through the center of the transmission/transaxle mount.
4. When replacing the transmission mounts or transmission brackets refer to the following procedures:

Automatic Transmission Mount Replacement - Left.
^
Automatic Transmission Mount Replacement - Rear.
^
Automatic Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Left.
^
Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Rear.
5. If there is movement between the metal plate of the transmission/transaxle mount and its attaching points, lower the transmission/transaxle on the
transmission/transaxle mount. Tighten the bolts or nuts attaching the transmission/transaxle mount to the frame or transmission/transaxle mount
bracket. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications.
