Clutch Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
Clutch Master & Actuator Cylinders
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove instrument panel driver knee bolster assembly.
2. Disconnect clutch master cylinder pushrod from clutch pedal assembly, then remove clutch master cylinder nuts from dash panel assembly.
3. Remove clutch master cylinder U-bolt from dash panel assembly, then the clutch master cylinder from dash panel assembly.
4. Remove clutch master cylinder reservoir retainer, then the clutch master cylinder reservoir from lefthand hood strut bracket.
5. Raise and support vehicle, then remove clutch actuator cylinder from clutch housing.
6. Remove clutch master and actuator cylinder assembly from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten fasteners to specifications.
b. Bleed hydraulic clutch system.
