Firebird V8-305 5.0L (1982)
Camshaft: Service and Repair
1.
Remove valve lifters and engine front cover.
2.
Remove grille, radiator and condenser.
3.
Remove fuel pump and the pushrod, as required.
4.
Remove timing chain as outlined previously.
5.
On all except V6-173, install two 5/16---18x4 bolts in camshaft bolt holes, then remove camshaft.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
