AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DELIVERS AIR TO DEFROSTER OUTLETS ONLY REGARDLESS OF A/C MODE LEVE
Some 1982-1984 Firebirds may exhibit the condition that air will blow only from the defroster outlets. This condition may be caused by a loss of vacuum
to the A/C control or the A/C mode doors. Specifically this condition may be caused by a pinched vacuum harness input (violet) line near the A/C
control. To repair this condition, remove kink from the violet line of vacuum harness and re-route to prevent recurrence..
If this procedure does not repair this condition, determine other cause for loss of vacuum according to Service Manual.
