Steering - Lead or Pull Usually to the Right

File In Section: 3 - Steering/Suspension

Bulletin No.: 53-32-13

Date: December, 1995

Subject:
Steering Lead or Pull, Usually to the Right (Check Tire Pressure, Rotate Tires, Check Alignment)

Models:
1995-96 Chevrolet Camaro
1995-96 Pontiac Firebird

Condition

Some of the above listed vehicles may develop a steering lead or pull. This will usually be to the right, but on occasion may be to the left.

Cause

Tire forces may change during the first several thousand miles of driving, creating a lead or pull. As with most other vehicles, excessive cross camber or
cross caster (left minus right) can also cause this condition.
