Fuel Pump Relay: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) utilizes the fuel pump relay to control fuel pump operation.
OPERATION
When the ignition switch is ON, the PCM completes the ground signal to the coil side of the fuel pump relay. The magnetic field generated by the
coil causes the switch portion of the relay to energize the fuel pump circuit.
