Door Hinge Replacement (Upper Hinge)

Removal Procedure

1. Support the door in the full open position.
2. Mark the position of the upper hinge on the door and hinge pillar.

3. Remove the door upper hinge bolts.
4. Remove the door upper hinge nuts (2).
5. Remove the door upper hinge.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the door upper hinge to position marked.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the upper hinge nuts.

Tighten the upper hinge nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft) in sequence.

3. Install the upper hinge bolts (2).

Tighten the upper hinge bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
