Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Power Steering Pump Front Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement.
2. Support the power steering pump (1) with twine or rope.

Important:  The power steering pump front bracket can be removed without the complete disconnection of the pump. The hydraulic hoses do not
need to be disconnected.

3. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts (4) and the power steering pump front bracket (3).

Installation Procedure

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts (4) and the power steering pump front bracket (3).

Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

2. Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement.
