1. Install the power steering gear (5) to the vehicle.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the power steering gear mounting bolts (1).

Install the power steering gear mounting nuts (4).

Tighten the power steering gear (5) mounting nuts (4) and mounting bolts (1) to 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.)

3. Install the intermediate steering shaft to the power steering gear. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and

Column-Tilt.

4. Install the outer tie rods to the steering knuckles. Refer to Tie Rod End Replacement- Outer.

5. Install inlet and outlet hoses (2,3) to the power steering gear (1).

Tighten the inlet hose (3) to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the outlet hose (2) to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).

6. Lower the vehicle
7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System.
8. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
