Subject: Instrument Panel (I/P) Outer Compartment Bin is Inoperative or Loose (Replace Steering Column Opening Filler Panel)

2007-2009 Pontiac G5
2010 Pontiac G5 (Canada Only)
Condition
Some customers may comment that the instrument panel (I/P) outer compartment bin (1) is inoperative or loose.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the outboard pivot (1) on the steering column opening filler panel breaking and not properly holding the compartment
bin in place.
Correction
Replace the steering column opening filler panel and transfer the compartment bin and necessary components to the new panel. Refer to Steering Column
Opening Filler Replacement in SI.
