When reinstalling the fixed glass assembly, ensure that the snap clip at the top of the fixed glass is engaged securely into the slot in the door upper
frame.
Inspect the perimeter of the rear door fixed glass and ensure that the door glass run channel is correctly seated in the door frame.
Upper B Pillar Wind Noise
Some customers may comment on a wind noise in the upper B pillar area. This condition may be caused by a gap between the auxiliary weatherstrip and
the roof rail area. Use the following steps to revise the auxiliary weatherstrip attachment.
1. Lower the weatherstrip for access to the repair area.
2. Clean the mounting area on the body and the weatherstrip with isopropyl alcohol.
3. Prepare a 6 mm x 60 mm (9/32 in x 2 3/8 in) piece of automotive attachment tape, such as *3M(TM) P/N 021200, or the equivalent.
4. Install the attachment tape to the auxiliary weatherstrip as shown.
Note
When removing the protective liners from the adhesive tape, be careful not to touch tape with your hands and do not allow the tape to come in
contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.
5. Peel the liner from the attachment tape and reinstall the auxiliary weatherstrip.
6. Verify that the gap has been corrected.
