7. Attach the pigtail kit to the seat harness using the splice sleeves in the kit. Refer to Splicing Copper Wire Using Splice Sleeves in SI. When
attaching the pigtail kit to the harness, the splice sleeves should be staggered (1) to reduce the bundle size. Gage size of the wires may vary
between the pigtail kit and the seat harness. To increase the width, cut the length to 10 mm (0.39 in) and fold over. The correct width can be
determined by matching the bare wire to the crimp tool.
8. The pigtail kit will contain wires in cavities A to E with cavity F being empty. Splice the pigtail kit to the seat harness using the following
sequence. Refer to SIR Connector End Views in SI for addition information:

Splice wire A to Pink wire (Ignition 1 Voltage, circuit 1139)

Splice wire B to Pink & Black wire (Occupant Sensor - serial Data, circuit 5018)

Splice wire C to Dark Blue wire (Passenger Air Bag On Indicator Control, circuit 2307)
-
Splice wire D to Black wire (Ground, circuit 1851)
-
Splice wire E to Dark Green wire (Passenger Air Bag Off Indicator Control, circuit 2308)
9. After splicing the wires together, tape the harness using anti-abrasion electrical tape. Obtain "*Woven Polyester (PET) Electrical Tape"
(Special Order PN RZ97156A00) from Kent Automotive. Refer to Parts Information below. Remove the pigtail connector/clip temporarily
installed into the seat frame to ease taping the harness.
Tape the harness starting at the connector using a 50 percent overlap of tape. Tape along the harness, over the splice connections and over the
