Supercede:
This bulletin is being revised to add the 2006-2007 Pontiac G6. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 10-09-41-003 (Section 09 - Restraints).
Condition
Some customers may comment that the SIR indicator/lamp is on. Upon further investigation, DTC B0081 may be set.
Cause
This condition may be caused by one of the following:

DTC B0081 3A: Passenger Presence System Incorrect Component Installed

DTC B0081 39: Passenger Presence System Internal Electronic Failure

DTC B0081 71: Passenger Presence System Invalid Serial Data Received
Important
Technicians should use B0081 diagnostics in SI to resolve the customer concern. Refer to DTC B0081 in SI. This bulletin should only be used if
diagnosis leads to replacement of the Passenger Presence system (PPS). Due to a part change, updated components will be used for servicing of
PPS components.
