Hood Latch: Service and Repair

Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the upper fascia support. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement   (See: Bumper/Front Bumper/Front Bumper Cover /

Fascia/Service and Repair/Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement).

3. Mark the hood latch location to the support bracket with a grease pencil.

4. Remove the hood latch bolts.

5. Disconnect the release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the cable retainer.
6. Disconnect the remote start electrical connector, if equipped.
7. Remove the hood latch from the vehicle.
